Ashford Town Football Club has 30 youth teams so approx. 400 children rely on this club to provide their route into football. It is a purely volunteer run club and numerous people have put years of hard work into running and maintaining this brilliant, family club. Over the weekend we had our annual youth football presentation and celebrations in which the club took its highest ever takings which were to be reinvested back into the club house, equipment and pitches. However upon arrival this morning, it was soon realised that our club had been broken in to, the whole place smashed to bits, completely ransacked and all of the money raised for the club was stolen. Along with the takings from the weekend, was numerous pots of money which had been raised for local charities (clearly marked in separate containers) also stolen. Our club has its annual tournament upcoming and needs to re-stock, paint the pitches and get the club house fixed and tidied up before hand. Please help us to raise the funds to get the club back together and ensure our 400 children are not affected by this heartless robbery.
