Story
On Sunday 25th September, we (Denise, Katy & Jack Ashworth) will be trekking around the 18 churches in South Liverpool Deanery, walking approximately 23 miles to raise much needed funds for Encontro Com Deus UK. All funds raised will go directly to the charity and will make a huge difference! We are part of a team from St Peter’s in Woolton who are going to Curitiba, Brazil in February 2017.
The charity seeks to rebuild families, providing education for parents & children and opportunities for the poor & excluded. They help keep single mothers together with their babies & they provide a day centre for children who would otherwise be on the streets. We are raising money to help provide disabled access for the charity's homes in Brazil, which will really help them reach out further to those in need.
We plan to leave St Peter’s at around 9.15 a.m and you can follow us via Twitter on @AshworthTrek.

8 years agoYesterday we woke & the forecast was favourable:) After a bowl of porridge we went to the 8am church service, after which we set out on our 23 mile walk, taking in 18 churches. Though challenging, it was an incredible experience with many blessings along the way & all for an amazing charity. We had some laughs, sun, a little pain too but got there in the end! A very big thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout. Feeling blessed & a little tired;) Donations are still being accepted online until 29.09.16. Love Denise, Katy & Jack xxx
