Story
Aunty Laura and her trusty dog Seal are doing a sponsored walk along the Anglesey coastal path to raise funds to buy new toys and equipment for St.Gwynan's playgroup. The walk is 125 miles long and Aunty Laura will be starting the walk on 15th December. She aims to complete it in 6 to 7 days and will be wearing a different festive hat each day to keep warm!
St.Gwynan's playgroup is a charity run organisation which is not Government funded. The staff there are dedicated and trained personnel who recognise the importance of community. The playgroup has to fundraise not through choice but through need. The playgroup have a number of expenses to budget for, including staff wages, rent, utility bills, insurance, resources, training courses, plus other expenses, which unfortunately cannot be covered by fees alone. Aunty Laura wishes to do this arduous walk to raise funds to buy new toys and equipment for the children. Thank you for all your support!

7 years agoWow, thank you more. donations keep coming in, thank you! The walk gave me a sense of purpose, doing something for my community, and has generated alot of much needed money for St.Gwynan's playgroup.....however the walk was also a journey for me to reflect and realise what I have achieved in my life and what really matters. Sometimes in life it feels like the fast forward button has been pressed and we don't know how to press stop! This walk made me stop and give me a clear head and it has made me feel fantastic....try it ❤️

7 years agoWell I've just finished my walk around the Isle of Anglesey. 125 miles of glorious coastline walked over 6 days! It was difficult at times when I thought the end was in sight but more miles needed to be done but it is one of the best things I have ever done. The Anglesey coastline is so beautiful and I found new places to explore which I will do at a more leisurely pace next time! The main thing is a lot of much needed money was raised for St.Gwynan's playgroup which will go towards buying new toys and equipment. Thank you everyone ❤️
