Story
BBA stands for bboy bgirl africa and was Founded in March 2012 in Senegal by Seibany Salif Traore, B.B.A is currently represented in over ten African countries and the network is expanding constantly around the enthusiasm of many players and hopes to see a united Africa through dance.
in May 2017 in Nigeria BBA will be hosting for the second time in Nigeria dance workshop, rap battles, clothing exhibitions, break dance battle and there will be an all all star African breakdance battle in Senegal organized with BBA international to bring together all African breakdances were a country becomes the lead in Africa. The festival BBA is to make every effort to allow that a major urban cultural event takes place on the African continent by promoting and developing urban dance in Africa by implementing battle, shows, workshops and ensuring visibility on the continental and international scenes. In this way, the BBA festival would become a recurrent and major event of the African cultural landscape over a long term.
We are going to help break dancers and the break dance community in Africa. It matters to us because we want Africa to have her own annual break dance event.
The funds will be spent to help cater for equipment’s, branding of our venues, lunch for our workshop, hostels for participants involved, flights and fees for professional instructors for the workshop home and abroad and transportation that will vary from location to location during the event that will last for a week.
