Story
Our purpose is to provide a week's seaside caravan holiday for six families affected by the recent terrible fire. We hope this will give them a chance for a restorative break away from the stresses and anxieties caused by the tragedy.
We are working through the local school which serves this community, and which lost a pupil and a member of staff in the blaze.
The caravan is on a peaceful site, where residents are already preparing welcome packs of toys and essential food.
Our aim is to make the holiday an outstanding memory in troubled times.

8 years agoDear Anonymous donor Thank you for your generosity and support for the scheme.W e feel we are doing this on behalf of a large number of concerned and caring people like yourself. The first family finished their week this morning. They left a note_ 'Thank you for all the support and thank you to all the people who helped make it such a memorable time. Family 2, Mary and her three children [9,7,5] are now settled into their caravan base for the next week, full of excitement and eager to go !'

8 years agoDear Friends' In addition to the generous donations through Just Giving, we have received many gifts directly from individuals and especially through churches; and also offers in kind from businesses covering important elements of the project. All of this means we are going forward confidently with the holiday programme. A big THANK YOU to you, for all your support and backing for this project, not forgetting the good people who have given us personal support throughout. . We now close down this account.
