A select number of pupils from the Health and Social Care department within Birkenhead Sixth Form College are raising money to make Christmas rucksacks filled with everyday living essentials such as food, toiletries etc. for the charity, Response. Wirral Council’s Response service provides advice, support and information to young people in Wirral aged 13 to 19. The service can also help young people who are temporarily homeless find alternative short-term housing. With the creation of these rucksacks, Response will be able to support young people not only with the basic requirements of housing, but in helping them to enjoy Christmas.
