    Story

Hi my name is Kathryn Strange from Bristol and i am setting up this page to help my son and son in law start a family.

For the last 10 years my son and son in law have worked tirelessly building their business and making sacrifices to raise the funds to enabale them to become fathers. Gay couples do not get NHS help when it comes to surrogacy (which i do not agree with and believe to be discriminating) so they have had to raise the £15,000 for the procedure on their own. Everything was on the right track and plans were going ahead for them to start their family this year.

Unfortunately due to the current pandemic the money saved through their hard work has had to be used for living expenses and to keep their business afloat, as they have been unable to work in their industry (entertainment) for the last 7 months this has destroyed their hope of becoming a family for the foreseeable future. The issue they are now facing is their chosen surrogate who wants nothing more than to provide them with the child they so desperately long for is coming of the age where the possiblities of complications during pregnancy are alot greater and further risks could be involved. As it stands the surrogate is currently the ideal candidate for the procedure having had 3 healthy children of her own. With the entertainment industry being hit the hardest during the covid outbreak and there being no clear sign of when they can resume working within the industry again they have no way of saving up the money needed to begin the proceedings within the biological time frame of their surrogate. So i have set up this justgiving to help raise the funds needed as quick as possible to give them the best chance at becoming parents before time runs out and they have to start all over again with finding a new surrogate. If by starting this page i am able to help my son and son in law acheive this precious gift i will leave this just giving open to help other gay couples to acheive their dreams of becoming parents in the future. My son and son in law have plans to start their own charity for this cause in the near future so will be paying it back with fundraisers and events as soon as the current pandemic allows. I am donating £500 myself to show my support and dedication to this cause. Thankyou for reading.
