My insurance for £6K has nearly been used up and my humans will already need to contribute towards my repeated surgery due to the first failed operation, removal of pin, X-rays, CT scans and medication.
Bailey 🐶💕

Bailey is our 20 month old cockapoo. He was born with luxating patellas on both knees and would hop every time he started to run. He had surgery when he was just 12 months to fix it and hopefully stop him hopping. We were living in a tiny room for the long recovery but made sure everything was safe for him so it didn't fail the surgery. Six weeks later he had another surgery as the pin used to hold his knee was unfortunately sticking out and irritating the skin. The pin was removed but there was still a chance of the surgery working.

After 9 weeks of hydrotherapy, Bailey was still hopping so we took him back to the vet for x-rays.

During the x-ray, they looked at his knees and found the luxating patella is still there, but this time both knees would need operating on. This means two surgeries and they can't be done at the same time. He will need lots more hydrotherapy sessions.
