I live in the local village of North Pickenham, as with most villages, pubs and community centre's bring people together. Unfortunately, our village now lacks both.

The North Pickenham Community Project has been raising funds with the aim to keep the Blue Lion Public House, a historic landmark that has stood in the village for nearly 400 years and convert it into a community centre, catering to the needs of all residents of North Pickenham and nearby villages.

The pub boasts history, which still attracts people today, during the Second World War, American airmen of the 491st and 492nd Bomb Wing stationed nearby visited the pub regularly. Tourists visit the village to see the War Memorial and view the American Memorabilia.

I am proud to be able to help towards this great community cause, it's somewhere I want my daughter to be able to visit and make use of in the future.
