    Story

Blythe is a fantastic 11 year old girl, who until earlier this year, was very active (netball, running, basketball, crafts, singing, etc.) But after a knee injury, caused simply by straightening her leg, whilst laid in bed one morning, she has suffered extreme pain, more than anyone may ever imagine.

Blythe has been diagnosed with a chronic neurological pain disorder - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This condition causes extreme pain 24hrs a day, allodynia, amongst other problems - There is no cure.

Blythe has also been told she has Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, which is hereditary connective tissue disorder.

Blythe's pain from CRPS, initially started in her right knee, but in the past couple of months, the symptoms have spread to the rest of her body.

Blythe is intolerant to even the slightest feather-like touch. Certain clothes, however soft, feel like the roughest sandpaper on her skin. Every bump or knock, however slight, feels excruciating, making travelling in a wheelchair or by car extremely difficult.

Within 3 months Blythe has gone from using crutches to needing a wheelchair!

Along with the audio and visual disturbances, fatigue and depression, these conditions are slowly destroying my bubbly, fun, life loving, little girl!

Blythe has not been able to go to school because of these conditions, but services have not been put in place to help her! With the money raised, it will allow that to change!

The money raised will get a wheelchair with wheel drive system & suspension, to reduce the pain Blythe feels whilst moving and to aid her when fatigued.

Occupational Therapy Assessments, both at home and school. Along with any physio and other aids needed.

This will ALL help her be independent and to access education, be with her friends and enjoy life again.

Your help by donating is gratefully appreciate, whatever the amount.

    Thank you!
