These 2 charities and Hospital are very special to us. I dread to think how we would have coped without Little Hearts Matter and Ronald McDonald House, and without Bristol Children's Hospital, Bobby wouldn't even be here today.
For this reason we would like to try and raise £3000+ for them as a thank you.
Little Hearts Matter were and still are such a fantastic help and support to us when finding out about Bobby's condition. They helped us understand what the future may hold for us all and got us through the scary days during diagnosis, pregnancy, birth, surgery and recovery. We have become part of an amazing Heart Warrior family and for that we will always be grateful.
Whilst Bobby was recovering from his open heart surgery we had no where to go being so far from home. Thankfully Ronald McDonald House were able to offer us a room, free of charge. They provided us a home from home accommodation for families of children who are critically ill in Bristol children's hospital.
Without them we would have had to spend thousands of pounds on hotels and commuting costs, not to mention the 5 hour round trip back home. Because of them we were able to spend every waking minute with Bobby whilst he was recovering and slept a few minutes up the road from him.
Lastly, without Bristol Children's Hospital, Bobby wouldn't be here with us today. They saved his life and for this, we will always be in their debt. We would like to raise money for equipment on Ward 32 as a small token of our gratitude.
We aim to raise this money by taking part in many charity fundraisers, Doing a half dress down day in May, a skydive, the Welsh 3 peaks and many more!
