    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Members of Bodhicharya Kent are going to do the Three Peak Challenge (climbing the biggest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon) over a period of 72 hours. Funds raised will be split between the Charity Rigul Trust and the Community Group, Bodhicharya Kent.

Rigul Trust is a registered UK Charity supporting healthcare, education, poverty and disaster relief in Rigul Tibet, birth place and Monastic Seat of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, as well as other Himalayan communities.

Many Tibetans live in severe hardship and the current and planned projects for schools and health clinics in these communities benefit both the Tibetan and the local people of the region.

Margaret Richardson - the Founder of Rigul Trust UK has kindly said that she will match 10% of any donations to the charity up to £1000, so please give generously, thank you for your generosity.

Bodhicharya Kent is a non-profit Community Group in the Medway Town of Rochester, under the guidance of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche and is based around meditation practice, discussion and study.

There are weekly meditation evenings and monthly day retreats as well projects to help benefit the local community currently needing funding, including monthly Family Dharma events and a Meditative Garden Project.

Visiting teachers from the International Bodhicharya community come and teach throughout the year.

All activities are run on a voluntary basis and rely completely on donations, therefore anything you can give will help sustain and support the group in fulfilling Bodhicharya’s guiding principles of Healing, Helping and Harmony, thank you for your generosity.
