The Parents and Teachers’ Association have been raising funds to upgrade our existing swimming pool. Currently the pool is not covered so can only be used during the summer term. (Approximately 6 weeks!) The changing rooms and toilets are run down and out dated. The plan is to cover the swimming pool in an enclosure so that the facility can be used for nine months of the year and will incorporate new changing rooms and toilet facilities.

We have planning permission in place (TM/17/00313/FL), the contractor has been selected and the works were due to start in the summer holiday.

Unfortunately, because of Government cuts the school no longer has the funds to contribute money needed for this project. As you can imagine a lot of hard work has gone into the planning and fundraising for this project and it is devastating to be in the position now where we have no idea when we would be able to complete.

We have been contacting local companies to see if they can help with a contribution and we have also been applying for various grants.

We are asking residents of Borough Green and the surrounding villages to help. If you are able to make a contribution towards the project then it would be very gratefully received.

We are hoping to encourage the use of this facility by the wider community, where appropriate, in order to give financial sustainability.

The PTA, together with your generous donations have managed to raise £65,000. Work is starting in the summer holiday to complete stage 1 of the project, the groundworks. We now have £20,000 towards the enclosure but we still need your help to raise the remaining £20,000 to complete the project.
