My name is Natasha. I am the mother of 4 boys aged 3-17 and Colins wife.

On the 8th October 2014 our lives were shattered beyond recognition when my darling husband Colin took his own life.

Colin was a loving husband, a devoted father, loved by all. He was known for his strength of character and sense of humour.

Colin was also known a mans man.

I believe that my husbands life could of been saved if more had been done to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Asking for help would of been a sign weakness is eyes.

knowing he was suffering in silence will haunt me for the rest of my life.

He was always there for others but too afraid to ask for help when he needed it.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in this country.

As the mother of four sons this statistic terrifies me.

I want to start a charity that both provides support for those already affected by suicide in particular children and also reach out to our younger generation.
Providing trained volunteers who outreach to schools, run campaigns aimed at teenagers through social media and get the subject of mental health in men talked about.

This is the very beginning of this journey for me.

Money will be spent setting up this charity, research and training.
