Story

"I Won't Be Defined by My Hair, CANCER BEWARE!" - Brave The Shave, A Call to Arms By Joan Dunlop

I'm reaching out to invite you to a profoundly personal event at the Groomsport Inn on Sunday, 11th February 2024, at 2 pm. This gathering is born from my recent journey through a diagnosis of breast and lymphoma cancer. This event is more than a fundraiser; it's a declaration of defiance and solidarity against cancer. This is for all those who have lost, won and or are batteling this awful disease.

We're coming together to raise crucial funds for the local Ulster Hospital's McMillan Cancer Unit, places where heroes work day and night to combat this disease. It's here, amidst friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, that we can make a significant impact.

I invite you to join this cause, to stand shoulder to shoulder in the face of adversity, and to contribute to a future where hope outshines fear. Your support, your presence, and your generosity will not only aid those in immediate need but will also echo the undying spirit of every individual who refuses to be defined by their illness.

Let's unite under this banner of hope and resilience, making this event a beacon of collective strength against cancer. Together, we can turn the tide, one heartfelt donation at a time.
