Story
The Butterfly Day Care Centre in Pokhara offers children aged 2 - 4 from the lowest caste families a chance to access an education. The children are from the poorest families that have migrated into Pokhara in search of work. While the children are taken care of their mothers and older siblings can try to earn a living.
In April 2015 the earthquake caused damage to the current building and the upper floor is unsafe. The owner of this rented property has given notice and so the Day Care needs to find another location. To guarantee the future of the Day Care for the children we are appealing for support to raise funds to buy a plot of land and build a permanent Centre. This will ensure that future generations of children and their families have a chance to improve their lives through education.
