I've raised £7000 to wards new floodlights for BPRFC Mini and Juniors, by taking part in the Carten 100 challenge on Saturday May 11th!

Burry Port RFC's coaches, players, parents, and supporters are taking on the Carten 100 challenge to raise a £7000 shortfall for vital floodlights on our training pitch. As a grassroots club, we heavily rely on contributions to develop our facilities and provide opportunities for adults and children in our community.
At the heart of our local community since 1880, we boast one of the largest mini and junior rugby sections in Carmarthenshire. Offering rugby from U6 to U16, youth, ladies, and seniors, we cater to all ages and genders. BPRFC is continuously expanding, and our club needs to develop the use of our pitches and facilities, for the wider benefit of the local community. However, we are facing a challenge that directly affects the quality of our training sessions – the lack of proper floodlights.
The provision of match standard floodlighting will provide additional training capacity in winter when the days get shorter and too dark to train without lighting. This project ensures continued provision of facilities for all age groups, offering a safe, team-building, and nurturing environment. By investing in modern floodlights, we aim to create an environment that benefits our players, from our youngest rookies to our seasoned veterans.
Our dedicated coaches and volunteers have been guiding and empowering young individuals in this rural community. Recognising the challenges of limited access to activities in this area, we are determined to persist in our efforts to support players in the best way possible, by providing the best facilities we can.
In these challenging times, rugby has been a constant support for our fantastic group of adults and children, and with your support, we aim to raise essential funds, bridging the £7000 shortfall.
Be part of this journey and help make a lasting impact on our community. Your generosity matters! 🏉 #BurryPortRFC #Carten100 #CommunitySupport
