Story
Baby Henry was born at 23+1 weeks on 19 June 2016. His due date was 15 October which is also baby loss awareness day.
October is a special month in our hearts, it also marks the month we found out we were pregnant with our angel Rory (30th October 2014).
I shall be undertaking a little challenge to raise money for our new venture - Butterfly Books, any surplus funds will be donated to the Bereavement Midwife Team at PAH.
Butterfly Books has been set up to help other loss families staying at PAH, we are providing a small library of loss books for the family bedroom (with an option of providing books to families who would like to take a copy home). We are also providing gifts of story books to read and cherish for years to come.
£5 will fund a beautifully packaged story book and £10 will fund a loss book.
If the books are well received by Southampton parents we'd like to offer the service to other hospital bereavement midwife teams.
So, what is my challenge?
Given that I'm not built for running (!), I'm planning to walk 10,000 steps every single day in October with no carrying steps over to the next day which will mean going out in the dark and possibly the wind and rain. I really don't like rain so walking in it will be a challenge!
More details of Butterfly Books will be out here shortly.

I am a loss mummy, in 2015 we lost our precious son Rory due to complications of pre-eclampsia. In June 2016 we lost Henry to placental problems. I am raising money to provide comfort to other loss parents.
