Story
Fundraisers at the Haymakers Cambridge on April 14th, May 25th at The Plough Shepreth both from midday till late: live music, homemade pastries possibly raffle and other shenanigans :)
Strawberry Fair 2024 will feature a brand new artistic area, CALM, a focal point for alternative music, poetry, art and workshops.
Our aim is to present art and music from Cambridge’s diverse community currently under-represented at the Fair, showcasing the changing nature of the city over the fifty years that Strawberry Fair has been running.
Visual art will be displayed on the inside of the performance space while musicians and poets perform on our stage. Alongside the main venue will be a tent for workshops, talks, discussion and debate.
Are you a musician, poet or artist in the Cambridge area? Or would you be interested in running a workshop or discussion? If so, we want to hear from you! Email calmstage24@gmail.com.
We are also looking for volunteers to help run the event and organise fundraisers to support us financially: Strawberry Fair is a free one day festival, entirely run by volunteers, and therefore we have to raise the funds for it ourselves.
So if you could be a steward on the day, help with set up the day before or take down on the Sunday, provide technical support, or have an idea for a venue where we could hold a fundraiser, or want to get involved in any other way, please do email us.
Strawberry Fair will take place on Midsummer Common on Saturday 1 June 2024 from midday until late evening.
