Story
Now in our 70th year, the City of Coventry Corps of Drums are taking part in the 2017 Coventry Walkathon to help raise £1,000 towards our target of £20,000 to buy a new coach.
The Corps will march and play for the duration of the 1.75 mile route on 14th May 2017 at Coventry's War Memorial Park.
During our 70 year history, we have helped thousands of boys and young men in Coventry, learn to read and play music whilst forming friendships that have spanned lifetimes.
Over the decades we have given members the opportunity to travel around the UK and Europe to perform at locations that many would not have normally visited and having reliable transport has been key.
The time has come for the current coach to be replaced, and as a charity we have the incredibly tough challenge of raising £20,000 to buy a newer, more reliable coach, in order to continue to be able to travel and perform.
Any donations to this great cause will be gratefully received.
