I've raised £5000 to help fund Collaboration for Kids (CFK) to get started

CFK is an ambitious, scientific, evidence-based project of professionals, all volunteers; working together to make children and families aware of the dangers of ultra-processed foods and inspiring them to choose real and natural foods, the way nature intended, to improve the health and well- being of children.
CFK is a project within the Collaborative Health Community CIC a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, dedicated to improving health and wellbeing through real and natural foods and healthy lifestyles.
This is a project calling communities to preventative action. It aims to use up-to-date and robust scientific evidence to deliver key messages in a variety of innovative ways, that inspire, challenge and support those who need help.
The science is clear about the harms of processed foods. Now we simply have to make sure these facts are no longer hidden, and present them in a way that helps young people to reject Ultra Processed Food (UPF)! We want to inspire children and their families to make changes to their eating behaviours, that will make them healthier and happier. We already have the proof that what is being done today doesn’t work: Children are carrying more weight, are unhealthier and unhappier. CFK is committed to finding innovative learning opportunities and solutions that will work to reverse this”
This project focuses on meeting children and families through many different ‘touch points’ in their lives – building understanding for the difference between foods that build and maintain healthy brains and bodies, and edible chemical compositions (UPF) that pretend to be food, but do more harm than good.
We want to use all our creativity, innovation and energy to find solutions that work in real life, to deal with this crisis of the worsening health of our children. For this we have a large number of volunteers contributing their time, energy, passion and professional experience. But we have no funds.
At this point we are fund raising to pay for the start up of this project, including a Microsoft Teams environment that will help us communicate more effectively together. All funds contributed, including if we exceed our initial target, will be used to support the further development of CFK within this not-for-profit organisation.
