I am a Year 10 student at Bradon Forest school in Purton, through a company called World Challenge and as part of a school initiative, I have signed up to take part in a 12 day educational expedition to Morocco. This will involve trekking the High Atlas Mountain run for 2500KM, through Northern Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. We will also be working on a community project alongside local people where we will take part in improving conditions in the village. We will take time to see the local children and spend time understanding their daily needs, as well as play a few games.

This opportunity is a challenging expedition that will significantly benefit the local community and will teach the team valuable life skills such as leadership, communication and team work.
We have the task of raising £1,750 each through fundraising to cover all our costs for the expedition. In order to raise the funds I have organised several events, which include a family race night with a raffle.

This is important to me as i feel that we take everything for granted. We get what we want when we want. These children struggle to eat on a daily basis.
