We are writing this on behalf of our very beloved friend Lucy and our Goddaughter Camilla. Camilla is 3 ½ years old, and has brought so much happiness to her family and everyone else who knows her.

On the 20th March this year she was diagnosed with a rare genetic & degenerative disorder called “Metachromatic Leukodystrophy” (MLD) after 18 long months of baffled Doctors not knowing what was wrong.

Camilla was a healthy ‘normal’ baby reaching all her milestones until the age of 1, when her mother started noticing that something wasn’t quite right. Since then Camilla has deteriorated and now does not walk at all and struggles to do everyday activities that 3 year olds should do.

We are looking to raise funds to enable Camilla and her mother to make some magical memories together whilst Camilla is still able to do so.

Lucy has always dreamed of taking her little girl to Disneyland Paris to meet the Princesses that she loves so much and we would appreciate any of your help to fulfill this dream.

This monstrous disease is caused by a faulty gene that controls a protein needed to keep our nerves intact. There is currently no cure for this debilitating disease that robs children of the ability to speak, walk, eat and eventually their life.

Due to the nature of this horrific disease, time really is of the essence and we need to act now so that Camilla is able to smile and play with the princesses and her Mum at Disney.

Any help, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will go towards bringing some light & happiness to a Mother & Daughter who are going through a truly terrible time.
