    Story

In the driving wind and rain we stand on the cold, sodden ground wiggling our toes in the hope of making them warm again. It's a rain soaked Sunday morning in the middle of winter. Instead of being in our warm houses snuggled on the sofa with a hot coffee dozens of us stand out in this Godforsaken weather .... with big smiles on our faces.

    But why ?

Because since they were only 7 years old our children have wanted to do something that they have grown to love. Play rugby. As supportive parents we have responsibly encouraged them to pursue this love of sport and we too have reaped the rewards of their fun.

We have watched a small bunch of little mini players grow and develop into a very successful full squad of junior players. We have witnessed them become a team who have learned that respect and discipline are a great strength. We have seen them winning tournaments hosted by Harrow RFC and Leicester Tigers without a single defeat and heared the compliments and positive feedback on our childrens conduct from those teams we had beaten. These boys have gained much from being a part of this team.

These children really have become young role models in our community and some have already been ambassadors for the club helping to give out Christmas presents on a childrens ward at the local hospital.

We as parents have and will continue to carry out many fundraising events until the summer of 2018 when we hope to be able to reward these fantastic children for all the pleasure they have given us and the manner they have represented our club and community with a rugby tour to Toronto, Canada where they would have the opportunity to play teams from Oakville Crusaders and Ajax Wanderers. This is going to be a steep mountain to climb to achieve our goal.

We are asking for your support in helping us reach our goal to see these children receive the opportunity of a lifetime which will create a team bond that will remain with them forever.

    Can you help ?
