Story
My challenge in July 2025 is to cross the English Channel as a solo swimmer. Depending on the weather conditions, I expect the swim to take between 14 and 16 hours. Having grown up near the sea I have always enjoyed swimming. I've often walked along the white cliffs at Dover where you can see France on a clear day. It began as a dream.

I am very pleased to be raising money to help the Canterbury Food Bank who provide emergency food parcels and related household supplies to individuals and family groups in financial crisis.
I started training in the sea and successfully completed a cross channel relay in July 2021 in a time of 14 hours and 55 minutes. During the summer of 2023 I completed a swim of Lake Windermere which is approx. 10.5 miles. In July 2024, I completed a 21 mile two-way swim of Lake Windermere as training for my English Channel swim attempt. Most of my training will be in Dover as a member of Dover Channel Training.
I hope you can help me to raise funds for Canterbury Food Bank and support the good work they are doing. All the money raised will be given to charity, none of it will pay for the cost of my swim or any expenses.
