Our amazing, wonderful mum has lived with cancer for over 20 years. She has battled through this disease with grace and dignity and her positive outlook, strength and cheerful spirit never fails to amaze. She is our inspiration and our hero and undoubtedly where we get my positivity and love for life from. After several life saving surgeries, including a nephrectomy and a pancreatectomy she has more recently been under the care of the wonderful Dr Te Wah and team at the Leeds cancer centre at St James Hopsital in Leeds and undergone 5 surgeries using the groundbreaking cryoablation technique. This has undoubtedly given my mum a prolonged and good quality of life and has given our family time with our beautiful mum who we thanks our lucky stars for every day. Sadly, our beloved mum has another tumour which is inoperable using this technique but thanks to the new pioneering Nanoknife procedure we have new hope. The Nanoknife used cutting edge technique that treats tumours previously considered inoperable. Mum will undergo this procedure later this year as one of the first patients to do so and we are hoping to raise as much as we can to help bring this possibility to more patients and help them to survive cancer and prolong survival. The Nanoknife costs £160,000 and we want to help make this more widely available so people can look forward to greater, more positive outcomes as a result of this revolutionary cancer treatment.
