    Story

Welcome to our page in memory of Carter-James 😇

As most of you know we welcomed Carter-James into the world on the 28th of February 2016 and sadly due an illness I was aware of from 15 weeks pregnant, he took his last breaths surrounded by all his family and lots of love on the 29th just 16 hours after.

As you can imagine saying bye and parting with our beautiful boy was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do.

Our experience was made peacefull and dignified and a hell of alot easier by the staff at wythenshaw neonatal and the help of the "Cuddle Cot."
I'm eternally gratefully to them for helping to make my boys 16 hours and some time after the most magical of my life.
Thanks to them I got to feel like his mummy I got to hold, cuddle and dress my baby like every mother should.

    Which leads me to today.
I want to help families like us.
I'd like to donate a "Cuddle cot" to Wythenshawe neonatal in memory of our angel Carter-James.

That's where you guys come in

Please share and share and share and share again...

Donations no matter how big or small all help..

For those that are unaware of what a cuddle cot is i've attached some information that may explain it little better.

The Cuddle Cot enables a family whose baby has died to spend a little bit more time with them. The Cot cools the baby, slowing the natural processes that occur after death
A child is delivered but dies every four hours in this country, and this relatively new technology helps by allowing a fuller "cradle to grave" experience for traumatised parents in need of comfort.

The little ones are cleaned and weighed and measured. They are swaddled and snuggled as any other. Then they are placed in a Moses basket or crib, and lain on the eight-degree cooling pad, slowing down the effects of nature.

This regulated period – which can be hours and often days – allows bereaved families a few more moments with their child, enough to somehow reconcile the loss.

      Update from the Page owner

Thankyou so much for ALL your donations! However large or small, we started this fundraising because we lost a very special little boy Carter-James, he was just 16hrs old when he was taken from us, but because of him we are helping so many other families with the gift of time with their little angel baby, there is nothing more special than being able to help a family at the most important time of their life. It's such a heartbreaking time to lose a child. So thankyou to you,and thankyou Carter-James for your special time here with us.

I wish we'd had opportunity to use a cuddle cot when Lily was born at 20 wks having died in my womb. I was given pethidine late in labour so was 'spaced out' when I got to hold her.Thinking of you x
