I aim to support women who have had IVF and then lost their baby due to preeclampsia or hellp syndrome.
I recently suffered a severe case of pre eclampsia and hellp syndrome after Ivf treatment.
I was 18 weeks when I started noticing changes which got progressively worst. I rushed myself to hospital at 21 weeks pregnant with high blood pressure, dizzy spells, visual disturbances, upper stomach pain and vomitting and nausea, swollen feet and having felt excruciating pain which left me terrified.
After a long ordeal I was told I was dying and that the only way to save my life was to deliver my much longed for and prayed for little girl. This was the worst predicament I have ever experienced. Faith needed 3 more weeks to even be given a chance to live by the hospital. Delivering her now meant she would die. This was my worst nightmare. My condition rapidly deteriorated and the decision was made to save my life by my mother, aunty and consultant. Id lost mental capacity and conciousness. My daughter faith eugenie grace la'more was born on 17th april 2016 at 05:10 am. My daughter had died to save my life. My liver and kidneys had suffered severe damage, I was in critical care for a fews days then intensive care for a week then on a renal ward for a further 5 weeks. My prognosis is now that if I should get pregnant again I may lose my life due to the severity of the damage that pre eclampsia and hellp syndrome caused. This made me view moms and dads like myself who struggle with fertility issues that get this far yet cannot afford to try again just left to be moms of angel babies with no hope of being a active parent due to this awful life threatening condition that has stolen our children from us. I want to restore faith, hope and their determination to succeed in their journeys to become parents and I believe that with your help it can be achieved.
