Charles Lötter, General Manager of Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, Restaurant and Spa unexpectedly passed away on 2nd November 2016. At the wish of his family any donations in his memory are to be given to the Stickland's Primary School in Evershot, the village where Charles spent the last twelve years of his life.

There has been a school in Evershot since 1628, thanks to Christopher Stickland who founded a school for ‘male children only’. Under the Chairmanship of the Earl of Ilchester the current school was built in 1874.

It welcomes children from the villages and hamlets around Evershot and aims to offer a caring environment, providing for the needs of individual children and helping to develop their self-esteem and respect for others.

The whole ethos of the school reflects its place within the community, to enable the children to develop into valued members of that community and society in general and to develop a sense of moral and spiritual values.
