The Chawner Alshouses listed building is full of character and is a valuable contribution to the aspect of the village. However, the age of the building means that it requires ongoing attention to maintain its fabric and appearance. This cost, coupled with the day to day expenses of providing safe and modern accommodation to our residents is very challenging.
