    Story

Let's bring you up to date....

Cherry May Cookson of Macclesfield was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma October 2016 at only 5 months old.

Neuroblastoma is an aggressive form of childhood cancer that affects fewer than 100 children under the age of 5 each year

Cherry is currently receiving treatment at The Royal Childrens Hospital in Manchester.

What started as a small goodwill gesture from local gentle parenting group Kanga & Roo has now snowballed into something very unexpected!

The local community of Macclesfield has really got behind Cherry and her family, from heartfelt messages of support to generous donations and fundraising. The family is truly overwhelmed by the real community spirit that Cherrys story has brought about. Cancer has touched us all in some way and the activity on this page really demonstrates how close to everyone's heart this cause is!

Cherrys family now finds themselves in a real position of responsibility with regard to the money that has and continues to be raised. Firstly Cherrys family will use a portion of the funds to cover extra costs for the family that hospital life inevitably throws up. Another portion will be used for any alternative therapies or extra care Cherry may need outside of the realms of the NHS. Lastly the family would really like to donate to either a suitable Nuroblastoma charity or the ward Cherry is cared for on in Manchester.

Cherrys family are strong believers in PMA POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE & they would love you to keep Cherry in your positive thoughts. Thanks again to everyone who has helped them over this time. Your support has kept them strong for Cherry.

This page is a awareness & fundraising page which should give you updates on Cherrys condition/treatment and on any fundraising events taking place locally.

Now come on Cherry kick cancers butt!!! 💪🏻❤️🍒
