We are starting a Community Café at Chippenham Christian Fellowship that will provide delicious food and drinks to those in Chippenham whilst offering support, activities and opportunities for those in the local community. We have been providing free community meals and have seen that there is so much more that could be done to support our local community above a free meal.

We would like the café to be fully operational and open to the public with the profits funding community groups. Our main community focus will be to provide a youth cafe for secondary age young people to have a safe and fun place to hang out after school. Other future activities include therapeutic arts and music groups, meals for children in the school holidays who usually get free school meals, allotment growing group providing local organic food for the café overseen by those who are unemployed or who would like to learn new skills in a social setting, employment and volunteering opportunities for those who struggle to access employment. We would also like the café to provide a mum and child friendly space with a play area.

We currently need funds in order to make changes to our kitchen and hall floor as well as buying general cafe equipment and play equipment for the area outside for children to use.

We feel that this café can become a real hub for young people and the local community in Chippenham and would really, really appreciate your support in reaching our target of £5,000 to help us realise our vision of better supporting our community!
