We are a group of 6 16-17 year old students doing a fundraiser at The Macclesfield College to try and raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. The fundraiser will be an inflatable bungee run as well as a cake sale which interests a variety of people, hoping to bring in lots of people.

We have chosen Cancer Research UK as my auntie was recently diagnosed with cancer and all of our group felt this was the best charity to use as it reaches all of our hearts. It means a lot to us to be able to help in any way possible to show that we are always supporting her, our family members, and every other person who has been unfortunately diagnosed.

This is my aunties story to show how important this is to us to raise money for people suffering with cancer.

'My Auntie Adele was diagnosed in January this year just before her 40th birthday with secondary breast cancer. This means that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. She is currently going through chemotherapy in hope of reducing her cancer and stopping it from spreading further and will soon be undergoing radiotherapy. Her cancer is an aggressive type called HER2 positive that doesn't run in the family. It was a massive shock to me and my family when we had found out she was diagnosed.'
