Ciara was just 8 years old when this photo was taken by her mum on the occasion of a pre-indy ref visit of Nicola Sturgeon to Greenock.

The two lads were quite 'vocal' to both Ciara and Nicola. Ciara stood her ground.

Ciara's image has been circulated worldwide. She is a great ambassador for the peaceful spirit of Scottish independence.

I think she's the bravest wee lassie I know. Ciara lives with her Mum and her 3-year-old wee sister Lilly

The 29th October will be Ciara's 10th birthday.

Hi There, I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated to this JustGiving fundraiser for Ciara. You have made this wee lassies Christmas as your generosity has enabled Ciara to buy a computer that she's always wanted.
