Amelia is the daughter of a work colleague, she is eight years old and has a rare cancer. My colleague is now looking after her and is signed off work.

There is hope! There is a treatment but it's expensive. They need to raise £152000 in the near future. As a close group of employees we couldn't sit by, we had to try something.

We deliberated and had some coffee and deliberated some more and came to the conclusion that a cake sale wasn't enough. There are a few climbers in the office so we thought a sponsored climb might be a way to help.

We had a Google and found that there are some world records that we thought we'd try and break. It's going to be hard, we may not succeed, but we want to support our friends.

The climb will take place at Calshot Activities Center on the first of December. We start at 10 and will attempt to climb 12km in 6 hours or in quantifiable terms 14m in 20s for 6 hours!
