Story

We set up a small Community Group, Community Tai Chi Scotland, to enable us to raise funds to keep running our free online Tai Chi Classes after the Council had to withdraw its funding in May 2023.
We now have about 40 Participants, who join us to maintain or improve their physical abilities and to help cope with mental health and anxiety.
We have become a close wee group and our Participants enjoy and benefit from our weekly classes, as well as the fun and banter we have together.
The group is run on a voluntary basis, with the only cost being the Tai Chi tuition fee. Jamie runs the class from his home garden which helps keep the costs down.
Our aim is to double our membership to allow people to try Tai Chi and practise it for free with the longer term aim of becoming self sufficient for a very small monthly fee.
The benefits of Tai Chi are widely publised but include building strength in legs and in the joints which helps maintain and improve fitness levels through time, manage pain, improve balance and generally help mental health, anxiety and stress levels.

You are very welcome to come and join us. Donations gratefully accepted to help us keep the classes going.

Many thanks!
