Story
sometime between Sunday 7th and Wednsday 10th of April our changing rooms were forcibly entered by as yet unidentified undividuals who went in a rampage of damage. The club not only raised the funds to purchase and install the building and electricity but our members installed partitions, water, drainage, shower and benching. Anything that they could have, they have smashed, including the new shower unit which is beyond repair. We believe we can repair the cubicle as this was very expensive as well as the shower being destroyed the electrics damaged. We now need to fundraise to replace the shower, repair the electrics, blinds and locks as a bare minimum to bring the facilities back into use.
The Club has worked hard to make the ground a community asset and coach lacrosse to juniors in the area for free. Being a small club we constantly struggle for funds and had not budgeted to replace work we completed less than a year ago. Our plans for the summer are now at risk as we no longer have a safe changing space until we can get everything repaired and tested. Nobody likes to ask for financial help, but any contribution would go a long way to helping us get past this and carry on with developing lacrosse and cricket at the ground.
Thank You.
