Story
Every Morrissey fan knows Craig Gill, ‘Gilly’, and many of us are feeling a painful ache since learning the news of his death a few days ago. The drummer with the Inspiral Carpets was an ever-present figure of the Mozarmy, taking us on tours of Manchester. He has been there since our group of thousands was only tens. He was generous, friendly, funny, clever, full of knowledge, and he had what can only be described as a bashful heart.
He showed us kindness, and the Morrissey/Smiths fan community would like to recognise that through wearing this badge, the title of a Morrissey song in an Inspirals Carpet typeface and backdrop. 'One of our own' captures Craig because although he was a fantastic drummer in a successful band, he was also one of us in the Mozarmy. We took him to our heart and we're going to miss him immensely.
Donate as much or as little as you can aford and we will send you one of the badges to wear. Just contact @tonymerchison on Twitter and he will post your badge. The money raised will be given directly to Craig's family for whatever they need at this time. Feel free to leave your memories of Craig in the comments.
Thank you.
