Story
My name is Ellie and I am raising money to help my dear friend Cristina Grigore. Cristina's son David is 14 years old and is in need of a critical operation on the 15th of June.
David suffers with Fars2 deficiency, Epilepsy and Cortical Blindness. David's bones are growing faster than his muscles and ligaments, which is causing immense discomfort.
He urgently needs a procedure called Progressive Fibrotomy (Russian patent nr. 1621901) is a functional microsurgical method invented by Dr Ulzibat, based on the elimination of local muscular contractures (at fascia and fiber level) and myofascial pain syndromes preventing or hindering the physiological movement of joint function. The operation involves cutting some of the fibres which will then allow a better range of movement, helping David to continue to be able to walk with support.
The operation is on the 15th of June in San Marino in Italy. After the operation and initial recovery he will then need a programme of intensive physio therapy to ensure the best outcome from the procedure.
I am running a half marathon in St Albans on the 9th June to try and raise money to enable David the treatment he needs and deserves. Please help me to raise the money, any donations are hugely appreciated.
Thank you for all the love and support during this time. Cristina and her family are eternally grateful. xxxx
