    Story

CROMARTY RISING -V- CROMARTY FIRTH PORT AUTHORITY SHIP TO SHIP APPLICATION

The Campaign goes on to Phase 3 – we are still raising money – still going forward.

Thank you to all our amazing donors and supporters, your generosity and encouragement in helping us to challenge the POCF Ship to Ship licence application is truly overwhelming. We are working non-stop to challenge every aspect of the application. We are engaging with local Councillors, MPs and cross party politicians as well as MPs in Westminster, we are gaining support and momentum every day along with some excellent coverage in the Press, on the Radio and on the television news. We have the support of a growing number of Community Councils and recently welcomed the communities at Nairn and Nairn River who are adding tremendous energy to the campaign. Thank you all.

So far, with your support we have raised over £15,000, we are using that money now to pay for the costs we have incurred so far, but we still have a long way to go to reach our goal. Our lawyers, Bindmans LLP are continuing to work on our behalf to challenge the revised licence application, anticipated for submission by POCF to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in early 2017. This is a time consuming and expensive business, we truly appreciate very bit of support, please continue to donate. None of us are paid or ask for any rewards, some of us have day jobs and do this around or working day, so every penny you give goes straight towards the campaign.

Here are some other things you can do to help:

    1. Write to your MP and your Local Councillor
    2. Tell your Community Council that you support the campaign
    3. Tell your friends
    4. Come along and support our events and rallies
