Story
We have all been following the news over the last few days and weeks about tbe DW. The current team have safely guided the 2023 race to a Westminster finish. We all have our own DW story, whether you smash a record or dragged the heavest boat known to man. Late Paddy Ashdown wrote after his 1st DW that “only one person had suffered more at Easter than a DW paddler“ it seems this year is a pivatal year and we all need to pull together. please share; lets help the DW. Lets all smash this marathon together.
We need a total of £30k we have raised approx £25k we need to push hard to keep the ball rolling.
“We need to increase our income urgently. Currently, running the 2024 race in full will put the organisation at financial risk, meaning a serious risk to the 2025 race. We have plans in place to increase our financial security in the next 12 months but we need income now.”

We need to find a total of £30k by the 18th March
What can you do…. Today?
Make a donation to the Devizes to Westminster Organisation. Any amount will help to close this large gap.
We need the “Friends of DW” to come together now to support (save?) this iconic, international and beautifully British event. Donating as much as you can afford will help towards the £30k gap, securing the event for 2025 and buying time to turn the ship around to develop a sustainable future for the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race. We are asking all Friends of DW to give a little back to the race that has given us all so much.
