Victoria was born in June 2015 in Norwich with bilateral tibial hemimelia. Tibial hemimelia manifests as a shortened leg with knee and ankle deformities. It is extremely rare, occurring in one birth out of every million. The only chance for our daughter Victoria to be able to walk one day is expensive limb lengthening and deformity correction surgery in America. This corrective surgery is not available in the UK.
