Story

It is with deep regret and great personal sadness that I have to share the very sad news, Dean Harding the Scouts County Commissioner for Kent, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday 28th February.
During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Alison and his Daughters Tracy, Samme, Tesha, his family and friends.
Dean has touched so many hearts across the country and has had a massive impact on the lives of people of all ages. He was a lovely man who was so warm and welcoming and generous with his time for anyone. The enthusiasm, energy, caring, hard working and passion this man had was incredible and a true legend.
We would like to take this opportunity to remember Dean and ask you to help us raise funds for his beloved passion for the scouting community. Dean had a dream of taking unprivileged children from Kent and Gillingham District to Disney World Florida . Unfortunately Dean couldn’t see his Dream Come true so let’s use his legacy to make this dream a reality.
A Scout is loyal. A Scout is to be trusted. A Scout is friendly and considerate. A Scout belongs to the world-wide family of Scouts. A Scout has courage in all difficulties. A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property. A Scout has self-respect and respect for others.
Rest in peace Dean Harding
