Story

Hello everyone

I have been reflecting on the very sad incident on Tuesday night @the southern 100, racing on the Isle of man - the loss of two lives in this tragic event have impacted on many, and the injuries received by others and the spectators who witnessed the incident. As part of the recovery team (marshals ) involved in helping at the time- the one thing we could do for our fellow marshal was to provide him with dignity and respect thanks to a medical privacy screen - what we couldn’t do was to stop the people from standing around looking - (we did move them on which took additional manpower to do ). What I would like to do is try to raise some money to buy additional screens that can be put up if required to prevent this again, the world of Social media isn’t helpful at times like this . If all we can do is give people privacy and dignity and respect during incidents I want to try.

This incident was sadly posted on a video this week which has caused unnecessary upset at a very difficult time for all , these screens will help reduce this happen going forward. I know this week has effected lots of people and a lot of spectators and children have been effected by what they witnessed . I really do hope they reach out for support.

Please if you can spare a few pound to help buy some screens please help. Each screen costs around £876

In honour and memory of Rider Alan Connor and Marshal Liam Clarke

I am in contact with the medics who will be able to use these across motoring events and the Southern 100 Racing ./ IOM TT / Rally etc.

***. 🧡🧡Please donate anything you can — the more we can get the better no price can be put one someones dignity and privacy during incidents repect for their loved ones.
