The money raised will be used to send Malcolm to Greece in February 2017, any extra will go towards future trips or be donated directly to Dentaid.
There is a huge need for dental care in refugee camps across Europe. Dentaid was approached by the Red Cross and asked to send teams of British dental professionals to help the thousands of refugees who are suffering dental pain.
Volunteers will work in a tent in the camp’s medical area to triage, treat and provide aftercare for the refugees. Sometimes this is in tents, sometimes containers and in other times you’ll be working in converted buildings. The majority of patients will require extractions and some refugees have developed complex dental problems since fleeing their homes.
