The streets in India are full of stray dogs :( and the Government doesn't neuter them anymore. Every time a mother gives birth to a litter, she goes through so much effort only to find that most of her litter has been run over by cars. I live in the UK so I cannot help a lot with the dogs back home in India, but I go back once/ twice a year to visit my parents and my dogs. While I am there, I usually get at least 6 or 7 street dogs neutered, each time. This time, I thought I will make an effort to make a bigger contribution by neutering as many as possible. It costs Rs.1500 to neuter each dog which is about £17. I cannot do it alone and hence I seek your help to make the lives of those four legged friends who light up my life, everytime I hear the patter of their paws, when I walk down the streets of Calcutta, better & healthier. Neutering them would help us control the numbers and make looking after them more manageable. This money will also go towards treating them :)
