Weʼve raised £1,635 to create a sitting/dining room next to Dolores Ashcroft Nowicki's office on the ground floor of her home as a retirement gift.

Funded on Tuesday, 12th June 2018

    Story

Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki has taught thousands of students for over fifty years and been Director of Studies of the Servants of the Light School since 1976.

On her 89th birthday, June 11th 2018, Dolores is retiring as Director of Studies of the SOL https://www.servantsofthelight.org/director-of-studies-announcement/ but she is continuing to work on personal writing projects, teaching private workshops and developing her Solar Light Video Club: http://www.solar-light.one.

We want to give Dolores a retirement gift that she will remember and that will be useful to her as she continues to work on her own projects following her retirement from the SOL as Director of Studies.

We are also aware that many students of the SOL and friends of Dolores will value the opportunity to mark the occasion of Dolores' retirement with a gift as a way of saying thank you to her for her work.

Next to her busy downstairs office there is a room that is full of filing cabinets and archival materials that we want to clean out, re-decorate and refurnish so that Dolores will have a handy new sitting room right next to her office where she can dine and relax when she takes a break. The archive will be transferred into her successor's keeping for future use in the SOL school.

The refurbishment will include some re-plastering in the room, re-decoration, re-carpeting, refurnishing and, if possible, the purchase of a heater and easy chair.

We have created this page to assist any students or friends of the school who would like to contribute to this retirement gift for Dolores, on her upcoming 89th birthday, as a way of saying thank you for her years of hard work for the SOL.
