We are posting this with an extremely heavy heart as earlier this month, a recruitment partner and above all friend who has supported The People Pod for over 5 years, sadly took his own life. Dom was one of life’s good guys, a friendly and engaging person with a heart of gold who, to the devastation of his family and friends felt he had no way out. This happens far too often, suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 55 and we don’t want Dom to be just another statistic. There are many charities who are there to support men when life is hard and you need someone to talk to, suicide isn’t the answer and there is always light at the end of the tunnel which can start by a simple phone call and a supportive ear, that’s why we have decided to raise funds for Dom’s family alongside the amazing ‘Andy’s Man Club’ so they can continue to do their incredible work and help men see they’re not alone and that there is a way out by something a simple as talking.
