Everyone knows Dave! From his many years in aviation, to being that avid West Ham fan down the pub who'd always be up for a game of pool.
Dave has had a bad few years. As many know, in 2013 he lost his wife who he had been with for over 35 years, which destroyed their family unit. Due to the stress of this, 4 days later David was emitted into hospital with a stroke which left him like a vegetable.
After months of therapy, David slowly got his speech back, as well as movement in his right arm and face, and he was back to himself (minus a few things)
However in 2014, David came across another problem. He had found a lymphoma in his neck which had led to cancer. But this didn't stop Dave. He'd attend chemotherapy at 11am and be at work for 1pm! No matter come rain or shine, Dave has never let anything stop him for providing for his children. And this is why we want to fundraise for him. David has done everything he can to keep the family safe. This includes cashing in his pension and living in overdrafts.
Getting the all clear from cancer 8 months later, David ran into more trouble. On a cold evening, he fell due to ice and hit his head. It wasn't too serious but he had a bleed on the brain..

The real reason we need to fundraise isn't because Dave deserves a rest from all of his hard work (well he does!) or that we feel sorry for him...
David is currently in hospital in an induced coma. After being given work over there, he has had another serious fall and was found unconscious. With another bleed to his brain, the doctors have him in an induced coma and the outcome is uncertain.

David doesn't have any life insurance, due to trying to save money to keep the house. But as his daughter, I need my dad home. Being so close to Christmas and with my dad's awful luck, I'm scared it will be his last...

We need help with medical bills and if the worst happens, getting his body home.
