The Dovecote is a charity based in Blackbird Leys and Greaterleys. We run various activities for children and families in the area. Baby groups, after school clubs, and summer playschemes.

One of the things we provide, yearly, for our families is a summer trip. This enables our families to travel to and enjoy places usually way of reach for them. This year, we have booked a day trip to Drayton Manor Park and Zoo and our children and families are very much looking forward to it.

We had booked a coach to travel on with Heyfordian Travel. We paid the invoice of £675 on Monday. We learnt today, Tuesday, that Heyfordian have ceased trading. We have tried to contact them by phone and email to no avail. They are simply not responding. So were left £675 down, with no coach, and lots of disappointed children and families who were very much looking forward to this trip. Some of them, theur only trip out this summer.

Were would like to try and raise some money back to enable us to re book with another coach company so our trip can still go ahead.

As we are a charity, we rely soley on grants, funding and donations.
